This podcast marks the beginning of a brand new format for the girls at the I’m Not a Puck Bunny Podcast.

The new format: Connie will act as host with a steady rotation of Fangirls every month. The first week of the month will feature Steph from No Pun Intended, the second week will be Finny from Girl With a Puck, the third week will have Cat from the Untypical Girls, and the last week of every month will feature a random guest blogger who would like to come on and join the Fangirls.

Episode 16: Stanley Cup Playoffs Conf Finals Wrap-Up and SCF Preview w/ Special Guest Brad Meyers

Former Deseronto Storm forward Brad Meyers joins Connie and Finny in their makeshift studio to talk Stanley Cup Playoffs! The girls give some league-wide updates about the World Championships, a couple signings [Jeremy Roenick w/ SJ, Chris Simon w/ a Russian team], and the latest news from the Kings and Ducks. After that, they do a quick wrap-up of the Eastern and Western Conference Finals with Pittsburgh and Detroit emerging as the conference champions, respectively. Considering the teams to be well-matched, the trio had a difficult time predicting a clear-cut winner for the upcoming Stanley Cup Final, but they talked about the strengths and weaknesses for each squad before picking their favorites.

Following all the pro-talk, the girls pick Brad’s brain about everything from playing junior hockey in Canada to which NHLer(s) get his squee! They ask him about his experiences playing hockey in California and Canada as well as attempt to get an player’s take on things.

Episode 15: Stanley Cup Conference Finals

Welcome to round 3! The fangirls get together with Sherry of Scarlett Ice (http://scarlettice.blogspot.com), Steph of NPI (http://npi-hockey.blogspot.com), and Cat of Untypical Girls (http://untypicalgirls.wordpress.com) for a random and humorous conversation about the East and West Conference Finals. Connie gives league wide updates while Finny simultaneously worked on updating the Squee Cup stats. In the league wide updates, Connie reviews the nominees for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, a few signings, and a few firings.

Next week, we expect to have a very special guest join us in our INAPB HQ. Brad Meyers, formerly of the Desoronto Storm, will be hanging out to talk about his experiences playing hockey and how he plans to make it to the Show. Episode 14: Stanley Cup Playoffs Conf Semis Wrap-Up & Conf Finals Preview

At the moment Finny is sick and isn’t sounding like herself, so Connie takes the reigns and welcomes Teka from http://www.talkhockeytome.com/. Steph from http://npi-hockey.blogspot.com/ was not able to join the girls due to technical difficulties but were able to get some recordings from her that ended up in the episode. So she makes a showing and the girls are grateful they were able to get her on the show somehow!

McP makes a short appearance as well in the form of an email since she was having technical difficulties as well. She dishes on her WHL team, the Tri City Americans, and lets the girls know she still loves her Sharks.

Connie and Teka discuss the news around the NHL and take a quick peek into the goings on in the IIHF World Championships, then Teka fills the listener in on what’s going on with the AHL playoffs, which includes her Hershey Bears being taken out of the race to the Calder Cup. The girls then return to the NHL playoffs and review the 2nd round and preview the 3rd round match ups. The shoutouts are given after the discussions, which are their usual short and sweet selves.

Before they kick off the wrap-ups for the Conference Quarterfinals, Connie updates everyone on non-playoff news including the nominees for the Vezina, the Norris, and the Calder trophy. After dishing about the quarterfinals, the girls delve into the previews for the second round which features the teams of both of our guests!

Episode 11: Stanley Cup Conference Quarterfinals, Part Deux

Connie and Finny tackle the Playoff conference quarterfinals as all series were underway league-wide. After a brief update on the happenings for non-playoff teams, the girls dive into the Eastern and Western Conference Quarterfinals with the help of our special guests, Elise from http://18568reasonswhy.blogspot.com (reppin’ Minne) and Christina (Lucky13) from http://somelikeitblue.blogspot.com (reppin’ NYR). After talking about each of the Eastern series with a spotlight on the NJ/NYR, the fangirls laugh at Sean Avery (as per usual) for his antics in front of Marty Brodeur while Christina attempted to defend him. A discussion about the Western Conference series follows with emphasis on the MIN/COL and ANA/DAL series. The girls wind down with a brief roundhouse discussion on the refereeing in the playoffs as well as the scheduling of NHL games in the States.

Lastly, there’s a quick update on the Squee Cup standings for the HLOGgers (plus guests).

**NOTE: Finny indicated that during Game 1, Anaheim fans were not allowed to watch warm-ups at the glass, but forgot to mention that the management reversed the decision to allow fans to support the team during warm-ups for Game 2.

Episode 10: Stanley Cup Playoff Conference Quarterfinals

With the regular season behind them, the Cup Craze is ready to sweep through INAPB HQ. Connie and Finny were joined by fellow HLOGgers Cat (from Untypical Girls) and Acid Queen (from Sweet Tea, BBQ, and Body Checks) to talk about each of the first round match ups and make their picks. In addition, a humorous twist on the traditional playoff brackets gets the fangirls talking about the players that earn their SQUEE! It’s a fun-filled hour that features a wee bit of verbal sparring between Dallas fan Cat and Anaheim loyalist Finny.
