Episode 5: March 4-10
Despite a full-on HOST of technical difficulties, Connie & Finny were set on proving the old adage that when there’s a will, there’s a way. Dang it. Having tried to record this podcast unsuccessfully for hours on end, the girls finally resorted to a long, arduous method of getting this podcast done (even if it meant working hard through the wee hours of the morning and skimping on our beauty rest).
WARNING: DUE TO THE METHOD OF RECORDING, FINNY’S VOICE IS QUITE (i.e. very) LOUD WHILE CONNIE’S IS QUITE (i.e. very) LOW. PLEASE CHECK YOUR AUDIO SETTINGS.
This week, Connie & Finny talk about the Ducks’ and Kings’ recent games against CHI, COL, MTL, OTT, & VAN. A special (read: funny) email update from McPhizzle provides a recap on the Sharks’ games against OTT, CHI, & MIN. Big stories were centered on anger management and the players who need it (TB’s Andre Roy and NYR’s Sean Avery are highlighted this week), Foppa’s not-at-all-surprising latest injury, FL’s Chad Kilger’s absence from his team, and an answer to the question: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE A CANADIAN TO BAKE? Our Off Ice segment returns this week with emphasis on the coming St. Patrick’s Holiday.
Shoutouts & laughs included.
Delirium, hysteria, general confusion and mispronunciation of names ensues as the hour grows later, so consider yourselves forewarned. (This podcast was recorded between 12 midnight and 2:45am). In an effort to conserve space, this podcast has been uploaded in a .m4a format (previous episodes were .mp3). - At the end, Finny says that at least Tampa Bay still has a chance to make the playoffs. Now that she’s slept some, she looked @ the numbers and realizes that they’d need a super-impressive (and highly unlikely) record to do that.
